Since 26 November 2018, any visa application for France must be made via the France-Visas website. Once you have completed your application form on the France-Visas website, you will have to book your appointment on TLScontact website.

1-    France-Visas application form; printed and signed.
2-    Receipt of Visa application; printed.


New procedures for OFII


Long / short stay spouse of French national have to submit: 

  • Letter from the French spouse stating his/her details (Original)

Surname, first name, date and place of birth, address, phone number and email address

  • Proof of residence of the French spouse in France
  • Family book AND marriage certificate delivered in the last two months


For the family members of EU/Swiss/EEA national who would like to apply for a short/long term visa, a proof of relationship notarized from the respected embassy of the EU citizen (marriage certificate, birth certificated,etc…) is required to submit.

OR a proof of relationship “civil registry” issued from the EU citizen country.



Required documents for passport collection:

Starting from the 21st of January 2019, all applicants who wish to send a representative to pick up their passports have to follow the below:

  • If the representative is a first-degree relative (Spouse-Parent-Brother-Sister), he/she has to submit a written authorization from the applicant with the same signature on the checklist with a proof of relationship
  • If the representative is NOT a first-degree relative, he/she has to submit an official authorization letter from ‘El Shahr Aqary’.

The above document must be submitted with the following documents:

  • Applicant’s application checklist original
  • Copy of the applicant’s ID card
  • The original and copy of the representative’s ID card.

The TLScontact application procedure, established in conjunction with the Consulate General of France in Cairo, aims to provide the best visa application service. Our aim is to help you prepare your visa application and assist the Consulate in processing applications in a timely manner.


1, We recommend that you apply at least 20 calendar days before the first available appointment at our center because the visa process takes minimum 15 days.

2, Appearance requirement of minors: Young minors above 12 years old have to come in person, accompanied by their parents. Children under twelve years old are not allowed to enter TLScontact center. All children must apply with a separate passport. Passports including children will not be accepted.

3, If you are applying study visa: Before applying at TLScontact, you must be in possession of your provisional enrolment issued by the IFE (Institut Français du Caire) that contains your CEF number. To get your CEF ID number, you must register on the following link and follow the steps. Études en France
